PILI Restaurant in GTC Menu Guide

This is a menu breakdown of what is served at PILI restaurant in GTC Westlands Nairobi.

The restaurant is luxurious so you just can’t walk in, you have to make a reservation on their website or Instagram, the prices are reasonable and not overpriced like other restaurants of this ambiance and caliber

A budget per person maxes out at around KSh 2,500, even 1,800 is doable.

For a date, you can comfortably spend less than KSh 5,000 without looking into the prices that hard. Pili is a Halal restaurant so they don’t serve alcohol or pork

So, at PILI restaurant, they kind of dabble in a bit of everything without really honing in on one specific cuisine. You’ll find mostly Italian dishes like pasta and risotto, but they also throw in some sushi and seafood with a hint of Japanese flair. It’s like they’re trying to cover all their bases without committing fully to one style.

I tend to prefer restaurants that specialize in one type of cuisine. You know, like Mambo Italia for killer Italian food or Mercado for Mexican flavors.

And let’s not forget Red Ginger for those mouthwatering Indian dishes. They just seem to nail it when they focus on one thing.

But hey, this isn’t a full-on restaurant review or anything. Just sharing my two cents on why specialization might be the way to go

So, this new spot, PILI restaurant, is still finding its footing with a menu that’s not too big.

They’ve got a little bit of everything, from sandwiches and burgers to pasta and risotto, along with seafood, chicken, soups, and salads. It’s not a mile-long menu, but it’s got enough variety to keep you interested.

You know, sometimes having a smaller menu can actually work in their favor. It means they can really focus on each item and make sure it’s top-notch.

A 4-star rating from 115 reviews seems rather low. Typically, for such few ratings, one would anticipate a higher score, perhaps around 4.7 to 4.8, indicative of an outstanding dining establishment, anyway, it is good to find out for yourself.

Burgers & Sandwiches

This is a nice restaurant, personally, I wouldn’t order a burger or sandwich here, I find those taste better and way cheaper than fast food restaurants. Don’t get me wrong, it is not wrong to order a burger from a fancier restaurant I mean it’s already on the menu, just personal opinion there.

Burger and sandwich options at Pili restaurant include:

  • Chicken Club Sandwich: KSh 1,300
  • Cheese Chicken Sandwich: KSh 1,100
  • Crispy Chicken Burger: KSh 1,500
  • Classic Beef Burger: KSh 1,650
  • Melted Mushroom Beef Steak: KSh 1,650

The prices are high for the offering, if you want ridiculous burgers then check Between Two Buns in Kahawa Sukari, and you’ll get more for your money.

I mean some burgers in fancy restaurants are worth it if they use special beef to make their patties like kobe or wagyu, on the menu description here, it is not mentioned so I assume it’s regular beef which you can get a better deal elsewhere.
